Driving Directions

From Cape Town International Airport

Take the N2 in the direction of Cape Town. You’ll be heading towards Table Mountain – as you get closer look for the buck grazing on the slopes (but keep one eye on the road!)

When you’re close to the mountain, the road merges into five lanes. Stay in one of the three lanes to the right-hand side, following the blue signs for N2 Eastern Boulevard. As you come over the brow of the hill you’ll catch sight of the harbour and Table Bay – beautiful!

Follow signs for CTICC and the V&A Waterfront onto the flyover. The harbour is now on your right and the city on your left, with Lion’s Head and Signal Hill in the distance. Stay in one of the middle lanes as you come down the hill and approach the traffic lights. Go straight over at the lights, following signs for M62 Cable Way and Camps Bay. Get into the middle lane and go through the next 4 sets of lights.

You’ll see a Caltex garage on your left. Go through the set of lights directly after the Caltex garage. Go down the hill and then up the hill. There’s another set of lights at a junction with restaurants and bars on it (you’ll see the famous coffee shop The Power & the Glory on your left-hand side) – go straight through these lights.

Heading up the hill, look for Kamp Street on your left and then De Lorenz Street — Derwent Road is the next turning on your left just after the crossing, at the lights.

Turn left and Derwent House is halfway down the street on the left – Number 14: you can’t miss our colourful decorated trees framing the gate.

We look forward to welcoming you to your Cape Town “home!”

WE'VE GOT POWER

If you’ve heard of South Africa’s infamous “loadshedding” (our euphemism for scheduled rolling power outages throughout the country), you may be worried about enjoying hot coffee, eating breakfast, staying warm or cool, watching TV and finding your way around while staying with us . . . No worries: we’ve got you covered! At Derwent House, we have a full back-up power system in place, powered by solar energy for your comfort and peace-of-mind.

If you want to know more about this challenging national phenomenon, chat to any of us about it – we’ve lots of strong opinions to share.
